Some Guy In Spain Makes A Triple-Barreled Handgun

FILED IN gadgets No Comments

By David Ponce

This interconnected series of tubes we call the Internet sure has a way to provide us eager internauts with a never ending supply of WTFs. Sometimes there’s a fair amount of detail and information surrounding the WTF, but very often there isn’t. Such is the case with the above, a triple-barreled handgun that allegedly shoots 6.35mm rounds, and was made by someone in Spain. Yes, it’s allegedly a one-off creation so you can’t buy it, nor are we certain you’d want to. Judging by the finish on some of those parts, it looks like someone had some spare time in shop class and decided to see if he could do something special. We can’t be sure if it fires three shots at once, but we’re assuming it does. And at a 6.35mm caliber, it better fire three if it has any hope of seriously stopping whatever is down its sights.

Pew Pew Pew!: Triple-Barreled Pistol Makes 3x The Holes

FILED IN Entertainment No Comments

tribarrel-pistol-1.jpg

This is a triple-barreled pistol that fills your target with three times the holes as a regular pistol. Or, if you’re as terrible a shot as I imagine you are, wastes three times the ammo. Tell me before you buy one so I can buy stock in bullet manufacturers.

Details on the mad gunsmith who crafted this bizarre piece are unknown, except that it was made in Spain and appears to be a one-off creation. The fact that it only has a single trigger makes us assume the gun fires all three 6.35mm rounds at the same time, making it easy to get off 18 shots in no time.

First of all, 6.35mm rounds aren’t big enough. I would go with at LEAST 7.15mm’s. “Those aren’t even real — you don’t know anything about guns.” Ha, I know the only thing I need to: I’m honest enough with myself to know I can’t be trusted owning one.

Hit the jump for one more shot.

Waze Makes Its First Step Beyond The Phone, Integrates With Pioneer AppRadio

FILED IN gadgets No Comments

プリント

The makers of traffic app Waze are the latest company wanting to go beyond the phone and integrate more deeply with car hardware.

It’s a natural move — if you use Waze, you use it when you’re driving. However, the whole dealmaking and integration process with automakers is long and complicated, so as a first step, Waze is looking at the “aftermarket” of devices that people can add to their cars. And it’s starting with Pioneer’s AppRadio.

We wrote about AppRadio in more detail last year, but basically, when you connect your Android or iOS phone to the radio, a limited set of your apps will be accessible through the radio touchscreen. Now that set of AppRadio-enabled apps includes Waze, at least if you’ve got the Android version. (AppRadio integration is coming for Waze’s iOS app too.)

VP Community Geographer DiAnn Eisnor says Waze’s AppRadio functionality is essentially the same as the smartphone app’s — you can still get directions, look at real-time traffic data, and also let Waze collect data as you drive. However, the interface has been tweaked. For example, instead of simply freezing the keyboard when you’re driving (Waze is big on hands-free interaction), the AppRadio display makes the keyboard disappear altogether.

Eisnor also says that real connected car integration is coming soon, perhaps as early as this fall. From her perspective, the exciting thing is the ability to tap into all of the car’s other sensors, so it’s not just tracking where you are and how fast you’re going.

“This is milestone number one,” she says.

Here’s the latest AppRadio ad, where you can see brief glimpses of the Waze integration. (If you don’t want to watch the whole thing, or you miss the Waze cameos, they start at 0:15 and 0:44.)
