KYOCERA, IHI, MIZUHO Corporate Bank Reach Basic Agreement to Build & Operate 70MW Solar Power Plant in Japan

Kyocera, IHI and Mizuho today announced that the three companies have reached a basic agreement to construct a 70-megawatt (MW) solar power plant in southern Japan and to further explore a business model for utility-scale solar power generation. The “mega-solar plant” is being built to help solve Japan’s power supply issues caused by the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and to make a contribution to environmental protection, including the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Kyocera, Osaka Gas, Aisin, Chofu and Toyota Announce the Commercialization of “ENE-FARM Type S” a new generation of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Cogeneration system

Kyocera, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., Chofu Seisakusho Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corporation announced that they have completed co-development of a residential-use solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) co-generation system (herein “SOFC system”).
