White iPhone 4 coming April 28, goodbye fake parts

FILED IN gadgets No Comments

I promise to keep the stories about products from American companies to a minimum, although I am also American, but love them or hate them, everybody talks about Apple. Today Apple revealed through their site that the white iPhone 4, which everyone has been looking for since June 2010 when it originally launched, is finally coming tomorrow.
One reason I’m mentioning this is if you follow tech news as much as I do, you may remember the only way to get a white iPhone up until this point was …

Verizon Goes Ahead And Confirms It: DROID Incredible 2 Coming April 28th for $200

FILED IN gadgets No Comments

Verizon was the only carrier that sold the original Droid Incredible. HTC announced a follow-up handset called the Incredible S.

Yeah, that’s pretty much all it took for everyone to figure out that Verizon would be picking up the Incredible S sooner or later.

Sure enough, VZW has just dropped a big ol’ bag of official on the Incredible S, though it’ll be dubbed the “Incredible 2″ from here on out. So, when’s it coming? Surprisingly soon. Just two days from now, in fact: April 28th, for $200 on a 2-year contract.. Take a peek behind the jump for an overview of the specs.

Droid Incredible 2 Specs:

  • 4 inch WVGA Super LCD
  • 8 megapixel rear camera with dual flash
  • 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
  • 1 Ghz CPU
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • 768 MB Ram
  • 1.1 GB of internal storage (with microSD support for additional storage)

Alas, this handset has a glaring Achilles’: no LTE/4G support. With Verizon expanding their LTE/4G network at a breakneck pace and LTE handsets already on the shelves, are you really looking to lock into a non-LTE handset for 2 years?

HTC DoubleShot Coming In Three Colors, HTC Flyer Arriving Early July?

FILED IN gadgets 9 Comments

Coming off of yesterdays HTC DoubleShot report is a tipster stepping in and telling us the device will come in not one, not two but three colors and is likely a myTouch Slide 4G successor. Given the name doubleshot and the likelihood with which T-Mobile gives the myTouch line coffee based codenames we’re inclined to believe this is a very real possibility. Of course this is a strict rumor for now until we can find something a little more concrete to prove its part of the myTouch line.

As for the second round of HTC news today we were also given some intel by the same tipster on the HTC Flyer which is suspected to arrive on or around July 6th. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard the HTC Flyer could land on T-Mobile shores but it’s the first time we’ve had a hint of a possible release date. As always this far out dates are subject to change.

Thanks Pink Android!
