Yesterday the independent company released a statement in a blog stating that it could not recommend the iPhone 4 to anyone. It seems now that the organization really can’t make up its mind. In a separate review it gave the troubled device 76/100 as an overall score, placing it higher than any other smart-phone. The nearest competitor is the Evo 4G on 74/100.

Unfortunately to actually view the full report on Consumer Reports web page, you need to subscribe to the website. So for now, we’ll have to make do with this screen shot taken by the guys at Apple Insider.

So far the company has said “it’s great”, then “don’t buy it”, and now “it’s the best thing ever!” The word double-minded comes to the forefront of my thoughts. I wonder where this saga will go next.
