You also have to consider that this was the DII championships and Winona St. were huge favorites that hadn’t even lost a game in forever..Barton comes back to win the national championship, down 7 with 45 seconds to play. The win ended Winona State’s 50+ game win streak, dating back to the ‘05-’06 season. This is probably the best ending to a basketball game that I have ever seen.
