Screen Shot 2011-11-19 at 15.22.58

The famous saying goes: the best camera is the one you have with you. Normally, that’s the shooter on your smartphone. Depending on what device you carry around, results can be disappointing, often lacking in color, detail and come out blurry. One of the iPhone’s greatest strengths this time around is its camera, so I took it out with its most recent and…

Abuzar, the person who wrote this article clearly doesn’t know much about photography and it’s hardware. That said, he should have atleast taken a DSRL with him, which would clearly show, that iPhones pictures are closer to that. And that is the important thing. You don’t need extreme saturation as it is on this Samsung, because you can always add it later. Whereas decreasing saturation loses quality. Of course, you may say “But this picture looks beter and more ‘autumny’!” But that doesn’t matter, what matters is how close it is to professional hardware. iPhone here is the clear winner. And I AM NOT an iPhone fan. I have an Android phone and I love it, the system and everything. But the iPhones cameras have always been more or less better unfortunately.

I don’t know how you can judge which looked more natural if you weren’t there. The sun was low, and gave off a yellowish tint to the natural eye. The iPhone 4S filtered it out and left us with a washed out photograph. On that occasion, the Nexus was more realistic, despite it seeming too saturated.

i dont see the winner here… but i see both are enough to replace a PnS camera in my bag…

i like Galaxy Nexus for the overall colours, but i love the details in iPhone 4S. Sadly, in real world, you can never have the best of both world..

Except for the city ( where in the galaxy Nexus we don’t see clouds ) and train ( last picture ) view I would say Galaxy Nexus win the clours are really great ex: the first and secon one it makes me think of Spring and summer really bright colour

for the indoor photos there shouldn’t be much difference since both are optimized for lack of light ( as I’ve heard )

The two photos of the grass and leaves, the iphone looks more natural. Did you just wake up and take the photos? Maybe your eyes were off that day.  The quick click almost as soon as you press the virtual button is an awesome feature as well as the Panorama feature on the Nexus. As far as quality of images, I would have to say the iphone wins. P.S. > I don’t own either one of them so this is just my  impartial opinion.

Totally! The iPhone 4S camera shines in low light indoor shots. Grainy, but light is good and picture is sharp. Gotta throw in my jab that it should be on the iPhone 5 and not iPhone 4.1 (sorry, still bitter).
