This is actually a very smart move by T-Mobile if they use it the way I think they should. Allowing people to buy smart phones, but never use data. This could ultimately get more people to T-Mobile as people like my parents that want to text and call, but use wifi at home.

If there is no charge for it, all they are saying is that if you have a smart phone on our network and not a data plan, we will bill you by data you use on our network. Yoi. An easily block data from the phone or online in your account.

The USA phone companies are definitely gonna be dead for this. Especially when a stupid cock-sucking company took over T-Mobile (which is no longer cool!).

hmmm? this notice kinda reminded me of something… Oh yeah! remember the time when AT&T impose a new policy requiring all smartphone to have a data plan! >_>

Wow… I guess it will be the end of TMobile.

Maybe they are trying to just get people who wiggled out of contracted data, but I always have 1 line out of forced data (out of contract period) and give my mom my phones when I buy a new one, so I don’t want data on that line since she won’t use it.  With the phone in her purse I can see this costing me a crapload of money.  I will have to call t-mobile and I probably won’t be in the best state of mind for them doing this without my consent.  It’s obvious that we already have choices.  If we wanted data plans we’d get a data plan (like I have on my line).  This just seems shady, like they are becoming as shady as the AT&T I left many years ago only to have them hunt me down and take out my carrier (tmo) to get to me…

    DAMNED AT&T conspiracy! :)

I am also a former employee who quit on their own free will and is excited not to be a part of these changes because it was stressful before I can only imagine how it is now.

Hasn’t Verizon been sued for this garbage before?
