Could it be that Apple will wait to announce this at the iPod event? I mean, we have seen Apple market FaceTime as a video communication client between iOS devices so it would not surprise me that “one more thing…” would be the announcement of the iPhone 4S at the iPod event in September.

Forstall focused on ten of the key features that would capture the audience’s
“oooo’s and ahhh’s” (if he didn’t, would kind of Keynote would that be?)

Needless to say that FaceTime is an integral part of their device for many users, I just think there would be a small hand-clap. So something like “oh yeah… one more thing. With the new (slide shows new iPhone and crowd goes crazy) iPhone, we’ve not only incorporated the features Scott announced back in June to the phone, we have changed something else. No longer will you be restricted to Wi-Fi use on FaceTime. Say hello to 3G FaceTime.” That is how I see it playing out.
