Sharp introduces the BDXL the first 100 to 128GB Blu-Ray disks.

Sharp this morning had a little press conference in order to introduce their new BDXL Blu-Ray disc, that are capable to offer from 100 GB(3 layers) to 128GB of Storage (4 layers). Only supported so far by Sharp latest BD Recorder / Player the BD-HDW700, these new BDXL comes with BDXL-R and BDXL-RE where only the 100GB version is available as Re-Writable disk. Sharp announced that this Disk will be available in Japan from July 30 and will coast around 5000 Yen each. |
