Apple iTunes 9.2 Release Date Expected on June 21st?
Apple have let it slip some of the new features that we can expect to see when they update their iTunes service. The new 9.2 edition is expected to be ready in time for the new Apple OS, the iOS 4 and will see a host of minor improvements.
Currently available as a beta, the new iTunes won’t be radical departure from what we have seen before, however it will allow users to sync and read books with iPhone or iPod touch using iPhone OS4 and iBook.
The new update will see users able to organise their home screen into folders using iTunes.
You will be able to organise and sync PDF documents as books and for the first time you’ll be able to read PDF’s within the new iBook app.
Some improvements on the backend of iTunes will see faster back-ups while syncing and increased performance on scrolling.
Many of the new features relate to the soon to be released iPhone 4G. We’re still waiting for major revamp of the general look of iTunes and this update isn’t it, but we suspect it will happen soon as it starting to look a bit dated.
With the release of iOS4 confirmed for June 21 which we suspect that iTune 9.2 will be made ready either the same time, or a few days before.
