The Tonga volcano eruption

An undersea volcano erupted off the coast of Nuku’Alofa, Tonga on 18 March 2009. It created colums of stream and ash up to 100 metres into the air. Here are a video and some amazing photos taken by Trevor Gregory (the first one) and Dana Stephenson (the second one). More pics after a click.
